Her perceptive renderings of our gorgeous natural surroundings help us to reexamine the light, the air and the powerful essence of the land that envelops us. Original works and prints will be offered for sale.  We will have a reception for the artist on Friday, October 7th from 5-8 pm.

We are looking for two-dimensional works in the following categories: Photography, Computer Renderings, and Painting.  Work that succeeds will try to answer the theme question by establishing a connection between people and the buildings we inhabit.  Also taken into account will be technical proficiency in the chosen medium, visual impact and unique or original interpretation of the subject.  We invite working architects to submit spec drawings and dream projects for consideration.  Over $1000 in prize money will be awarded to artists and architects based on the discerning appraisal of Meg Partridge.

About Meg Partridge

Meg Partridge is the Director of the Imogen Cunningham Trust, the organization established in 1975 to preserve and promote the work of Partridge’s grandmother.  Please visit the Trust’s website at www.imogencunningham.com to find out more about the life of this fascinating photographer.  Partridge also administers her father’s photographic legacy, The Rondal Partridge Archives.

While working as a cinematographer in the San Francisco Bay Area, Partridge directed and produced the Academy Award nominated short, Portrait of Imogen.  Among her other projects are a film profiling her godmother entitled Dorothea Lange: A Visual Life, and a documentary about her father called, Outta My Light: Photographer Rondal Partridge.

Partridge has worked as an executive producer, producer, director and project manager for many companies; her client list includes Compaq, CKS, Computer Curriculum Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Vivid Studios, Phoenix-Pop and Groundswell, Toyota, The Discovery Channel, Applied Materials, Fisher-Price, CenterBeam, Wineshopper, The History Channel, Nike, and Home Depot, as well as numerous others.

Raised in Berkeley, California, Partridge received a BA in Theater Arts and Arts Administration from Antioch College and an MA in Film from San Francisco State University.  She and her husband live on picturesque Lopez Island.

Friday, December 2nd, 2011, 5-8 PM – Artists’ Reception at Gallery and announcement of winning entries

December 30, 2011 – January 6, 2012 – Artwork available for pick up and/or shipped works packed for return. Prize and sale money distributed.
